“Had the mixed grill at The Kitchen and honestly, probably the best I’ve had so far! Everything was cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and served piping hot. You could tell they use quality meat and know what they’re doing on the grill. The staff were polite, friendly, and made me feel really welcome from the moment I walked in. Great service, great food, can’t ask for much more. Will definitely be coming back!”

“This delightful restaurant is conveniently situated at the entrance of Springfield Outlet Shopping Centre and is hard to miss, especially if you intend to spend a day or a few hours shopping. The Kitchen is a privately owned, family-run establishment that operates throughout the day from 11:00 am on Sundays through Wednesdays and extends its hours for dinner service on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. They take pride in offering a variety of delectable pub classics. Their menu boasts mouthwatering, homemade beer-battered fish and chips, grilled dishes, crisp salads, sandwiches, daily specials, delectable Sunday roasts, afternoon teas, and a dedicated children's menu. I went for the Black & Blue burger which was a Cajun spiced, handmade burger topped with Stilton cheese, red onion, tomato and mixed salad leaves served with chips. My friend went for the Mexican which was Handmade burger with house chilli and sour cream with red onion, tomato and mixed salad leaves. Both burgers were served fresh and arrived promptly within five minutes of ordering. They were exceptionally delicious, bursting with an array of flavors. The portion sizes were generous and satisfying. The staff demonstrated remarkable friendliness and expertise, showcasing exceptional customer service skills. We opted to dine outdoors, and the alfresco areas were meticulously maintained by attentive staff, ensuring a pristine environment throughout our meal. A new favourite for me I will be sure to return again soon.”

“We went to the kitchen a few weeks back as my brother wanted to try it again after quite a few years. It was ok, but not great. My mother and I both had fish and chips. The chips were most likely frozen as they were hard and tough, the fish was decent but the batter wasn’t great and the oil looked as though it hadn’t been changed in some time (small black specs). It would have been understandable had our fish and chips been on the cheap side but the fish and chips was £14.95! For that price I expect to be blown away by the quality… but in reality it fell rather short. The atmosphere and dining area is good but would say that the dining area is dated and could do with a modern update. Wouldn’t recommend unless they improved. Update & Response to owner: I cannot help if a restaurants chips are sub-standard, and for your knowledge my parents have owned two mobile fish and chip units so we know a thing or two about chips and FYI if you changed your oil that often it would be obvious… but obviously the customer is always wrong. Thank you for confirming my decision not to return :)”

“We popped in yesterday for some lunch and asked if there was somewhere out of the way we could sit as I needed to feed our baby, the lady who greeted us was so accommodating and lovely. She let us sit in the private dining area out of the way. The staff were all very courteous as I was feeding too. The food was really good, we had the vegan options which were all lovely. We especially enjoyed our soup, which came with warm bread! We also had the icecream from the cart which we took with us. We will definitely come back next time we are in Spalding!”
